Orange County HOME Funding Program

Each year, Orange County receives funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program.  Applications for Orange County's HOME funding are accepted annually, typically during February, and are reviewed by the Orange County HOME Consortium Committee, known as the Local Government Affordable Housing Collaborative.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) provides formula grants to communities to fund a wide range of affordable housing activities including building, buying, and/or rehabilitating affordable housing for rent or ownership; providing down payment assistance to home buyers; and providing tenant-based rental assistance.
