While completing her masters in English at NYU, Grey Brown assisted poet Sharon Olds in teaching a creative writing class for patients at Goldwater Hospital. Grey returned to North Carolina where she founded and directed the literary arts program for patients and staff of Duke Medical Center. She also loves teaching poetry and writing in academic settings. Grey has two chapbooks of poetry and one full length book. She is currently working on a new manuscript. Some of her poems also live alone in literary magazines and journals.
